EDBE 2050 - Understanding and Teaching Multilingual Students

An intersectional approach to understand and conceptualize the histories, backgrounds, identities and current realities of multilingual students in US educational contexts. Critical theoretical, conceptual and historical perspectives around multilingualism and multilingual learners will provide a foundation for engaging these same learners through empowering, humanizing and research-based pedagogies, which will be discussed.
