EDEC 1010 - Learning With and From Children
3 hours
Introduction to early childhood education and care as a field of study that centers on young children’s play, experiences and identities. Focuses on observation to account for children’s knowledge-production within their everyday social practices. Students engage in material and intellectual inquiry that explores the relationships between children’s experiences and their human and more-than-human (e.g. technology, the natural world, material objects, etc.) worlds.
Prerequisite(s): None.
