EDEC 3750 - Young Children in Schools, Families and Communities

Focuses on children’s relationships with their peers, adults and environments using dynamic ecological frameworks that account for children’s local and global contexts. Through case studies, explores the ways that children’s sociocultural identities and funds of knowledge play a role in their negotiations of their social environments.
Prerequisite(s): Admission to teacher education program; EDEC 3613 .
Corequisite(s): EDEC 3700 .
Must be taken in Block A. Requires field hours at an offsite location.
