Hours required and general/college requirements
A minimum of 120 semester hours, of which 42 must be advanced, and fulfillment of degree requirements for the Bachelor of Arts degree as specified in the “General University Requirements ” in the Academics section of the catalog and the College of Arts and Sciences requirements. 39 hours of German, including

Students who wish to earn a minor are encouraged to choose a second foreign language, English, History, business, hospitality management, economics or computer science. Electives

- Students majoring in German should consider taking history and geography courses that deal specifically with their language study.
- Minimum grade of C is required for a course to count toward the major.
- Minimum GPA of 2.75 in German course work is required for graduation.
